William "Bill" C.Harris. Jr. is regarded as one of the greatest athletes to ever graduate Hackensack High School. I always remember how highly
Tom Dellatore and Joe DeFalco felt about him both as an athlete and a person.

He was playing football in Canada and his parents called him and told him he had been drafted.

The article which appeared in the Record newspaper sports section under the article, “Where are they now?” I had wondered if William "Bill" Harris had served during the Vietnam War and going by the article timeline, he would have been drafted around 1968-69 about 5 years after college. The article states he was stationed in Korea and got hurt while playing football for the Army Division team.
